Enrolment

At Te Kura Māori o Waatea, we aim to make the enrolment process as smooth as possible. This means being open and transparent about the expectations our Kura has of each child and the commitment of whānau to ensure an enjoybale and meaningful learning journey.

How do I enrol?

To enrol your tamariki or request a copy of our enrolment form, get in touch with Renee at the main office via phone or email. You can also request a copy of our enrolment form here.

To complete your enrolment we will need copies of the following:

  • Your child's birth certificate or passport
  • If you are not a New Zealand citizen we must have a copy of the Visa from your passport. (Some non-residential enrolments may need approval from the Ministry of Education).

Enrolment Restrictions

Our maximum enrolment numbers is 200 students per calendar year. Our Kura was established in 2015 where we accepted enrolments for tamariki within the age groups of Years 1 and 2. In 2016, we extended that age group to Years 3 and 4. In 2017, we have included Year 5 & 6.

In 2018, we will increase that age group to include Year 7, and then Year 8 in 2019.
